Memoir of the Human Body Vol I & II
by Nazerke Akilova
founder of
Human Experience Production,
an independent multimedia curator, mindfulness, occult and consciousness researcher, movement artist, and a mindfulness guide rooting her work in Zen Buddhism, Eastern philosophy and Western psychoanalysis. The process of blurring boundaries between meditative states, artistic, ritualistic expression and self attunement, inspired deeper understanding of interconnected nature of consciousness, and acute understanding of the reality corresponding with our inner world.
The Memoir of The Human Body Vol II is a second fold of the multimedia exhibits by Human Experience Production, operating as the society’s expression of the mental/emotional/spiritual state of its inner world, expressed through the embodied states of the tool that never lies - the body. Created to somatically dive you in and allow you to explore your reflection in it.

“Til It Tear Us Apart”
presented at Memoir of the Human Body Vol I
The need to connect and to be loved deeply. It is an essential and relatable universal truth. Two or more bodies, conditioned by the system in power and managing day-to-day survival in not-so-humane capitalism, hold onto what is dear and special to them: a yearning to relate. Being torn apart so often and recomposed into another provisory connection, how do we grow this short-lived love? Inspired by her own New York life and the lives of people navigating the magnetic fields of various short-lived relationships in today's NYC, together with dancers, Petra translates this reality into a place of communion: a Brooklyn rave where various variables, such as dreams, jobs, pillow talks, and star alignments, all come together in one room, on a dance floor.

Zoja Zixuan Wei
is an emerging performance artist and choreographer, explores the intricate intersections of psychology, performance art, and sensory immersion. Driven by a profound curiosity about sensations, perceptions, and affect, Zoja's art practice delves into the intra-actions between humans, non-humans, and nature, unfolding in immersive theater, psychedelic stimulator design, and body art. With a rich background in arts, psychology, and communications, Zoja aims to engage and transform communities through participatory and sensuous experiences.
By incorporating long-duration body arts and multi-sensory experiences, Zoja creates transformative spaces where participants can explore and transcend their sensory and cognitive boundaries. Born in Mongolia and deeply connected with nature and nomadic spaces, Zoja's work is influenced by Chinese Daoist philosophy, particularly the five elements (fire, wood, earth, metal, and water). This philosophical framework informs Zoja's mindful movement workshops designed to balance inner energies and yin-yang dynamics, transcending the dominance of any single element through embodiment. Her dissertation, Hallucinating a Trip: The Phenomenological Experience of Audience Immersion in Theatrical Spectacle—A Case Study of Punchdrunk’s ‘The Burnt City’, challenged the traditional Western phenomenological emphasis on active participation by introducing the Eastern philosophical concept of action through non-action (Wuwei), shifting the focus towards a more passive engagement.

"She Who Holds"
presented at Memoir of the Human Body Vol I
To hold: a physical action; a psychological state; a mode of being.
here is never an end to holding. And certainly there is often the feeling of never doing enough.
Through a ritual of nature elements and energy exchange, we will test the in-betweenness of holding and to be held. Inspired by Maira Kalman's writing “Women Holding Things" (2021), this durational performance piece manifests in the autonomy of objects, and the affect of encounter.
“What do women hold? The home and the family, and the children and the food, the friendships, the work, the work of the world, and the work of being human. The memories. And the troubles. Sometimes when I’m feeling particularly happy or content, I think I can provide sustenance for legions of human beings, I can hold the entire world in my arms. Other times, I can barely cross the room, and I drop my arms frozen. ” - Maira Kalman
An object of sentimental importance will be asked of you. It will be returned at the end of the performance.

Blending vocal looping, sound design, and embodied movement, Warner explores the body as a rhythmic archive housing breath, memory, resistance, and release - an excavation of the body’s inner mechanisms, both fragile and forceful. Part ritual, part sonic transmission, this engine studies the human instrument under pressure: how it breaks, how it recalibrates, how it sings.

A Guide to Microdosing Time and Space
A blend of bureaucratic dystopia, cosmic whimsy, and existential slapstick. Imagine Loki’s TVA meets Hitchhiker’s Guide’s nihilistic humor, and the aesthetics of anything Julio Torres touches, performed by dancers who’ve had one too many espressos. Futility! Whimsy! The relentless march of entropy! Also, jazz squares.
